After a nine-year hiatus, Rage Against the Machine are back at Coachella in 2020! Frontman Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk will join rapper Travis Scott and singer Frank Ocean on Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 19 in Indio, Calif.
RATM performed at the first-ever Coachella in 1999 before dissolving as a band in 2000. Over the years, Morello and company reunited to play together, most notably at Coachella in 2007. Their last performance as a band occurred in July of 2011.
Accompanying their Coachella performance in 2020, RATM plans to play in El Paso, Texas on March 26, Phoenix, Ariz. on March 28, and another performance in Indio on March 30. More dates are likely to be announced.
Both Scott and Ocean also have Coachella experience. Scott performed in 2017 after announcing his relationship with Kylie Jenner, and Ocean performed in 2012. Much like RATM, Ocean stepped back from music after that, and 2020 will be his long-awaited return.
