Lamar Jackson‘s MVP-worthy sophomore season with the Baltimore Ravens ended with the league’s most dynamic quarterback breaking a few NFL records. Those records aren’t broken without the help of the offensive linemen, and Jackson gifted them all brand new Rolex watches.
He became the youngest quarterback in NFL history to throw 35 touchdown passes at 22 years old, the first player to throw at least 35 touchdowns and rush for at least 650 yards, the first player to rush for over 1,000 yards and pass for over 3,000 yards in the same season, and the new NFL leader in single-season quarterback rushing yards with 1,206. Jackson has one more game this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but at 13-2, the Ravens could give him a rest day.
The official Baltimore Ravens Twitter page tweeted out, “You know [Lamar Jackson] had to hook the [offensive line] up.”
Bradley Bozeman and Orlando Brown were especially thankful because Jackson upgraded their fake Rolex watches to real ones.
“We’re really grateful for that guy,” said offensive guard Bozeman. “I had a Bolex, the fake Rolex, that costs you about $30. This is by far the nicest watch I have – by leaps and bounds.”
“He took care of us,” offensive tackle Brown added. “I got one Rollie and it’s from Japan. I bought it in college and it cost $200. I appreciate the gift.”
The holiday season is all about giving, but in the next few weeks, Jackson and the Ravens are hoping to take what they believe is theirs. The Ravens have Super Bowl aspirations, and there would be no better way to cap off an incredible season than by hoisting up that Lombardi trophy.
