According to the Manhattan Supreme Court’s records, Madonna and Guy Ritchie are currently involved in a legal dispute. The cause of the dispute is currently unknown.
First reported via Daily Mail, Ritchie filed a motion requesting for the “enforcement or execution of a judgment or order” at the Manhattan Supreme Court. The Manhattan Supreme Court oversees Madonna and Ritchie’s child disputes over Rocco, 19, and David, 14, but their divorce finalized in 2008.
In 2015, the ex-couple disputed where Rocco would spend his Christmas, and Madonna won. The judge ordered Rocco to leave London and return to New York to be with his mother for Christmas, but Rocco refused. His refusal led to an intense custody battle, and Rocco eventually remained with Ritchie in London.
It’s possible that the new dispute is similar to the dispute in 2015, as it was filed directly before Christmas.
Details are likely to emerge in the coming weeks.
