Taylor Swift turned 30 years old today, and she celebrated with a fan-filled birthday party before and after her iHeartRadio Jingle Ball performance in New York City.
Swift’s birthday party was Christmas-themed. She tweeted, along with a few photographs of her friends and fans,
“Happy birthday, but make it Santa.”
In a follow-up post one hour later, the Artist of the Decade tweeted,
“Honestly, spending my 30th [birthday] with the fans who have made my life what it is at Jingle Ball, then throwing the most aggressive holiday party known to womankind… I just… seriously feel so lucky and will spend forever trying to find ways to say thank you. *cries in Christmas tree*.”
Elvis Duran surprised Swift onstage with a cake that featured her cats. Again, she tweeted,
“Fur real guys, this was my cake.”
After the whole Madison Square Garden crowd sang Swift “Happy Birthday,” a video montage played with messages from her friends and family, including Katy Perry. Perry said,
“Hey! It’s your friend, Katy. Welcome to the dirty 30s.”
Swift entered her 30s in style, and the party is only just beginning. The next 10 years will surely be filled with awards, achievements, and plenty of fortune.
